Mobile Communications App for deaf / HoH

Mobile Communications App for Deaf/HoH ) (one USD/pm)

Global, Multilingual, Carrier-Neutral, Android Communications App is a Game Changer

Hilliard, OH --  IDEAL Group released a powerful Android Real-Time Text (RTT) communications application. Speech2RTT® is an Android application that enables people who are deaf, hard of hearing, and non-verbal to communicate with anyone, including people who can hear, speak, and see, using their Android smart phone.

Speech2RTT® works over all cellular networks, worldwide. Speech2RTT® captions and then streams the text of what is being said, in real-time, between individuals. If a user cannot speak, or opts not to speak, they can type what they want to say, in real-time. Speech2RTT® accommodates users in 96 countries speaking any one of 68 languages. Communications are 100% private. No communications assistants (CAs) are involved. No limits are imposed on the duration of communications. Best of all, it is being offered to consumers at no cost until July 1, 2018, at which time a $1/month charge will be assessed for continued use.

According to Steve Jacobs, President of IDEAL Group, "About a year ago, the FCC adopted rules to facilitate transitioning from TTY [teletypewriter] to RTT technology. The FCC's phased roll-out mandate ends in June, 2021." Jacobs added," Since some U.S. carriers will not be ready to offer RTT services until then, our company decided to try and fill the gap by providing Speech2RTT® services to wireless subscribers, not only in the U.S., but internationally as well."
